Founded in 1958, Beijing University of Chemical Technology is a high-level university established by New China to "cultivate advanced chemical talents required by cutting-edge science and technology". Beihua Advanced Elastomer Materials Research Center, affiliated to the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and the "Yangtze River Scholars and Innovation Team Development Plan" Innovation Team of the Ministry of Education, is one of the important research forces in the field of rubber science and engineering in my country. One of the important bases for training high-level talents in this field. Relying on the national key discipline of materials science, the research center is an important part of "State Key Laboratory of Organic-Inorganic Composites", "Beijing Key Laboratory of Preparation and Processing of New Polymer Materials", "Key Laboratory of Carbon Fiber and Functional Polymer Materials of the Ministry of Education", "Beijing Laboratory of Biomedical Materials" and "High Performance Thermoplastic Elastomer Engineering Laboratory. Project Overview

The company relies on Beijing University of Chemical Technology as the technical support unit, and uses well-known domestic tire manufacturers such as Hangzhou Zhongce, Linglong Tire, and Fengshen Tire as application units, forming an integrated research and development mechanism of production, learning, research, and application. And jointly established the "Green Nanomaterials Joint R&D Center" in Beijing, forming a dual R&D institution of the company's R&D center and the Beihua R&D center. The center has advanced R&D equipment, complete R&D methods, and a group of highly educated, high-quality, and efficient R&D teams. The company's R&D team and the university's R&D team focus on research directions such as green environmental protection additives, comprehensive utilization of bio-based resources, sustainable development, and recycling of renewable resources. Under the guidance of the team's chief scientist Academician Zhang Liqun, a series of new products and technologies with international leading levels have been jointly developed. The main products developed include bio-based silica, bio-based nano silica dispersion, bio-based plasticizers, and recycled carbon black.

Professor Zhang Liqun, academician of the CAE Member, well-known experts in the rubber field at home and abroad, president of Xi'an Jiaotong University, doctoral supervisor, distinguished professor of Changjiang Scholars of the Ministry of Education, chief scientist of the National 973 Program, and winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. Director of the "Preparation and Forming Processing of New Polymer Materials" Laboratory at the Key Laboratory of Ordinary Universities in Beijing; Director of the Elastic Material Energy Conservation and Resource Utilization Engineering Center of the Ministry of Education; Deputy Director of "Organic Inorganic Composite Materials" of State Key Laboratory; Head of the Changjiang Scholars Innovation Team of the Ministry of Education and the Innovation Team of the National Defense Science and Technology Bureau.

Research areas:

Rubber materials science and engineering; polymer nanocomposites; bio-based polymer materials; polymer processing engineering; waste rubber recycling and utilization.

 

Representative science and technology awards:

National technological invention second prize 2, the first winner. There are 1 second prize for national scientific and technological progress, 9 first prizes for provincial and ministerial scientific and technological inventions or scientific and technological progress, 6 second prizes, 5 international leading level appraisal achievements, and 18 international advanced level appraisal achievements.

 

Honors and Awards:

National outstanding scientific and technological workers, special government allowances issued by the State Council, the 9th China Youth Science and Technology Award, the outstanding scientific and technological innovation leader of China Rubber Industry Association, the 18th Mao Yisheng Science and Technology Award, and the Hou Debang Chemical Science and Technology Award of the China Chemical Industry Society. The Sparks-Thomas Science and Technology Award of the Rubber Branch of the American Chemical Society (1 in each session), the SCEJ Asian Research Award of the Japanese Chemical Society, and the Morand Lambla Award of the International Polymer Processing Society (1 in each session).

Project Overview

In the future, the company will focus on the comprehensive utilization of bio-based raw materials and turn waste resources into treasures. We mainly focus on the research and application of new materials such as bio-based fiber nanomaterialization, bio-based white carbon black ultrafine refining, silicon microspheres, chip specific nano polishing solution, and ultra pure capacitor activated carbon.
